When we asked people around the Borders who/what should be represented in the boxes surrounding the Welcome Panel, Doddie Weir was mentioned by everyone from the young to not so young!
He is such an iconic figure anyway but his recent fight with MND and fundraising through his “My Name’5 Doddie” foundation (https://www.myname5doddie.co.uk/) has meant he is probably the most recognisable Borderer today.
