West Linton

  • Artist: Gavin Jefcoate & Simon Fraser
  • Stitcher: Susan Mason

This square shows the iconic clock of West Linton and the migrating geese which are a feature of life in the village. The silhouette reminds us that the Welcome Panel, was created during the covid lockdown, when two local artists created a number of silhouette statues and erected them in secret at night over a period of
time. They were designed to entertain, but also to mark the Whipman Week, and to invite donations to the mental health charity, Tiny Changes, in memory of Scott Hutchison of the group Frightened Rabbit, who took his own life in 2018.
